Here comes to the end of Y1S2.

So here comes to the end of the second semester, to be honest it wasn't so bad like I thought it would be... The things I learn in second semester is much challenging and better and... fun? Compare to the first semester... Oh well, semester by semester, the things are going to get tougher and tougher... Like Princess Aurora said, "I'm not sure if I'm ready for the challenge but I'm so excited about it", that's what I'm feeling now for the least... The third semester, a.k.a the last semester of my first year is coming. And I heard for my major I'm going to have only three subjects to learn in the third semester, cool huh? :D So in this semester, I've been sorted into DG1205-2 class, and thanks to management, CD1205-4 animation students are divided into two classes... But that's alright, because we always have to spare some spaces for new people to come into our life... Argh, should stop talking like someone who talks like a "philosopher" =3=

So in this semester, I've learned on HOW TO PAINTTTTTT! not really, actually the main purpose bout this painting lesson is to learn the colour changes, basically a "Colour Studies" subject... Hmm, I wonder why The One Academy name their subjects like so general...? They could have named Figure Studies 2 as Portrait  and Drawing 2 as Colour Studies... Just my suggestion though ;D This subject gave me MAJOR headache. But after so many weeks of painting, I finally realized it's my technique problem, it's my gouaches problem... They got harden and some are missing (because I'm too lazy to fill them up again)...  So for my final Drawing 2 class, I decided to spend MOAR on my painting, spent RM9 for two pentels... =3= But oh well, the final thing I painted is quite satisfying compare to the ones I did earlier... Not counting the earlier practices I mentioned in "Semester 2, so far...". Hopefully I get a better grade than I expected it would be... Not trying to have HIGH expectation here but... Y'know. Sometimes it's not easy at all to have good determination. PERASANNNN.

Visual Communication is one of my least favourite classes but then, think about it... The lecturer, Mr. Lew shared many of his experiences and his thoughts bout his life and design and stuffs... At first I don't really like the way he teach because it's all about stories, I mean sharing stories is good but over sharing... Hmm, but I've came to learn quite a lot from him... Mainly having passion in things you want to do. I still remember my Drawing 1 lecturer said you will never improve on something you don't love, or like for the least... I guess they're both sharing the same thing. Oh well, thank you Mr. Lew for teaching me all these things... Noted them. :) But gotta apologize to you Mr. Lew and Frankie because I'm not interested in participating for the Journey of Sight 2 gallery/showcase thing... I needa focus more on my drawing skills and stuffs. And am never going to stop drawing for the rest of my life ROARRRRR! yeahhhhhhh~ :D Oh well, farewell Visual Communication!

Figure studies! My all time favourite subject, and I posted quite a lot of statuses about portraits and stuffs... People who added in Facebook should know this better than anyone xD Yeah I spammmmmm so much about portraits so you should be able to see my passion in Figure Studies 2! =P Actually before entering to The One Academy, I've always impressed by people who can draw realistic faces so easily... I thought I would never be able to draw something like that but Tatsun said nothing is impossible...! Whoa, so many things I benefited throughout the journey here! =P Okay enough of crapping... I have a habit for drawing portraits like almost everyday, but now I stop drawing it for maybe a week or so, decided to take a break... Oh well I'm still gonna keep drawing and drawing to sharpen my skills. I want to impress people who used to laugh at my drawing! >=D And of course I would like to keep this competitive spirit with me for the rest of the journey.

Lemme introduce this sifu... He is one of the lecturers I admire like so badly! His skills is so awesome, awesome till I speechless. His name is Zelin, or ZL for short (some kind of acronym maybe?), yeah... He is my Figure Studies lecturer. 我好想拜他为师! Saw his demonstration of portraits and none of them are bad or even average, it's either awesome, or beyond the awesome... =w= I am sooooooo jelly of his skills! Oh well maybe because he kept practicing and he has been drawing for so long, need to learn something like this from him. Umm, I gotta confess I snored quite a lot of times in his class, but it's all good because I still learned something here. I heard he teaches DG classes because he knows muscles and skeletons better, and am so lucky to have him as our lecturer. And guess what, he said DG1205-2 is the best among the others HOHOHOHOHO oh well my portraits are STILL not so good anyway. Anyway let's just move on...

And in this semester I've met some new good friends! I've got closer with Sylvia, Sandy, Tzey Yang and Ian in semester two. And all of them are from IL major. Cool huh... I'm always stuck with Forever Alone status. Oh man, look at this photo! I'm starting to miss my blonde hair... Sandy looks like a chipmunk, the girl in pink shirt! =P The girl on the right side in this photo is Sylvia, and the guy there is Tzey Yang, mah bro. All of them were bullying me! Oh nos, I am so cham. I went having meals with them for some times already. There are also a lot to mention in this blog post but I got really lazy so I'll just talk about the MAJOR EVENTS okay? =P In BM class we need to do a drama where we all speak in BM and hmm... I don't have much photo for this content so I'll just post the video here. Adele will probably blame me for exposing this to the world, or at least in mah blog...

We all went to Sunway Lagoon! All of us, were having fun of course. And here are some highlighted photos of that event. Nothing much to talk about here, just plain awesome memories for this activities. I feel like this semester has much more things to recall than the first one. Don't get me wrong, I still think CD1205-4 is awesome! Anyway, I'm gonna rest so... Gotta conclude everything here. Hope you love the photos! They look great to me ;)

To the awesome memories!

So here it comes, the end of my semester. And this will be a great influence for my lifetime history. To be honest with you all, I never had this awesome moment with class before. Back when I was primary school, we were all nerds and we can't express ourselves easily. Secondary school? My class was a mess, but I met a gang of best friends and I still keep in contact with them. High school, it's good at least I still keep in touch with them... And finally, this awesome class, CD1205-4! Should I post my feelings for them one by one here in this blog post? Hmm... I think I need to story bout the event happened in this semester. So here I go!

For the beginning of the semester, I was a nobody there since my hair was all dark... Or black at all. And I sat alone, lucky I know Juwei who was my Splash Time team mate, so I talked to him most of the time for the first week then I get to know Wei Han. And I was bored, of course, I watched Crayon Shin-chan and I laughed all by myself which led Shader and Yen Yong to have this "Shin-chan" impression on me. Oh my people... Back then I forgot that my hair was once black... And looking back to this photo of mine, I looked really different! I kinda miss the soft black hair I have here. I'm gonna keep this style tho once my blonde got longer. Too bad platinum blonde is still far away from me... Later then the second week, I bleached my hair and my hair turned out to be TOO YELLOW. That's when I started interacting with people in the class. So yeah, le hair gives good effects! HOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO just spamming for free spaces... You know, I aim perfection for everything x)

This was my first look after bleached my hair. I looked... yellow. So Asian, right? What am I talking bout~ Haha, forget about it I was just dazing off. Now, this hair... I've gotta admit that, I got more confidence for this hair colour and style. It doesn't look as good as expected but later people said this look good on me and I got used to this look so... Yeah, just like that. I started talking to Shader, who turns out to be one of my best friends in my college and Ken, who caught me taking this photo here. And then I talked to Vincent more, time goes by. More and more, I've gotten to know this class better and I turned into a more opened guy. You might be surprised if I tell you that... I'm an anti-social guy before coming to this college. YEAP. I hated everyone at first in this class and liked only myself. I hated everyone for no reasons, and I don't know why. Don't ask me why, because this is already the past-tense. And you can read more bout the details for this period of college life HERE: 2012 is awesome so far + Birthday!

Coming up next, the birth of my Starbucks addiction! So yeah, the story of Starbucks addiction starts here... I remembered Chin Li Hao, one of my good pals in the class posted this promotions in the group discussion. And we had this idea to go for Starbucks after Malaysian Studies, yes, everyone went... I mean MOST OF THEM went. So my addiction begun... And during this period of time, I get to know awesome people outside from my class... Are you sure you want me to name them? Okay la, Norman became one of my friends now. And thanks to the awesome social networking sites, I get to know people like Wei Jie, and surprisingly he has some connections with my classmates. This world is small~ Slowly the relation of me and classmates expand, as I discovered that I'm not just the only one who fancies K-POP. Hooray! *Too bad sem ends now* Read more about this period of time HEREYUM CHA! Starbucks Frappucino Day!

Time to exploration week! Well, basically it's a week holiday for us The One Academy students. But actually this week is an excessive week for us to practice stuffs and catch-up things we've missed. At this moment I've became closer with our class's wisest (NOT BEING SARCASTIC) classmate, Frankie! I came to respect him the more he taught us. He also taught me a lot, well, personally through personal chat with him. He is great, and he is somehow the guy who we often ask him questions since he is a graduated student from Broadcasting and has worked under Astro and Woohoo before. I also get to know more people from Class 7, mainly Jonas and Tzey Yang. They're both awesome, but completely different. Jonas is one mascot for class 7 that makes me think that class is full of all kind of people in a good way. They're way pro than us, you can tell from their figure drawings. Inside the picture is me, Claire and Tzey Yang. Oh gotta say this, Tzey Yang is one gentleman. He is good looking and he studied IT but switched to study Illustration. This case happens on Jessica, who's a student from UTAR and studied IT but switched to... I don't know what she's majoring. Anyway, here's the blog post for this period: Majoring Talk! Oh and we hanged out!

As times goes by, the bond is getting deeper and deeper. One of the most memorable events that happened in class is the Life Drawing session in Figure Studies. Yes, everyone will have to pose and we will draw from them. And the funny thing is we all looked ridiculous! I just guaranteed to become of the "part-time model". Lecturer was shocked when he realized that I'm weight 75kg. I mean seriously, don't I look like one? Maybe my bones explain this fact of mine. So we posed for the life drawing and everything, not going detail for this I'll leave this to another blog post to tell the story in details. As shown in the picture, we even acted in a drama! For LCS of course, and we had lots of fun! Truly, these bunches of people are awesome. Even if you ask for a thousand times, the memories they made here is awesome! Yien Jieh became Snow White and Li Hao became gay lou... Jessica the prince! And others? The little dwarfs! Hehe, I'm giggling from outside to inside hehehehehehe... Read more HERE: Life Drawing!

Ah, happy things passes fast huh? I got nothing to say... Hmm, what's more for me to say? This class is definitely one of the greatest joy I have in my life. Also get to know some awesome seniors like Dillon from batch 1105, and others! Too many to name! Okay I got more and more cheesy, but then it's my feeling so you can't stop me from releasing them here! This blog sure is going to be massively heavy if I keep posting all pictures... Ah never mind, I'll just post the photos here. So, yeah!

SOME OF YOU WERE MISSING HERE IN THIS SELCA COLLECTION! You guys... Seriously, thank you for making my life so awesome. I mean seriously, let's hope to keep in touch for the upcoming semester! Even though we're gonna separate, but I'd like to keep you as friends. Hmm... What else, there are so much to say but so little time for me to think... Oh well, I guess I'll just conclude this post with a group photo, taken by Adele Blair, a good friend of mine in the class. Alright, guys, say cheese!

Thank you, CD1205-4! :)

Life Drawing!

Okay guys, this is the most interesting class ever yet for now because I've never done anything like this before! Usually in Figure Studies class, I will either feel "snoozy" or freezing. (thanks to the harsh air-conditioner!) But referring on the lesson schedule for Figure Studies, there's something that we're going to do today... Yes, it's what the title says: Life Drawing! So what is Life Drawing...? Here's a good example, but I'm not sure if that's a precise reference though. If you've ever watched Titanic (by James Cameron), you will remember there's a scene where Rose will strips herself off and pose at the sofa and Jack will do the thing... Okay sounds so wrong, Jack would draw Rose, that's what "life drawing" called... At least from the 'concept'... I hope you enjoy this "Draw Something" superimpose on the original photo though! Credit goes to THEMETACPICTURE, I do not own or make this picture!

So early in the morning, I was too free to be attached with my seat. So I wandered around. Other than myself, the other "early bird" our class got here is Yen Yong. I bet she wake up earlier than I do, since Puchong is just next to Sunway and she's from Kelana Jaya if I'm not mistaken. Off topic: I love Sunway! And I happened to hooked up into another Manikin Studio, which was connected to our classroom. There were so many 'people' posing which I haven't see before! Maybe they were there, just I wasn't being aware? And I happened to spot one freaking tall handsome manikin dude! He is about... MAYBE 200CM TALL! Oh my freaking goodness! Even lifting up my legs still can't match with his height! I know I'm short though... I'm only 175cm! What to do? Haha! I tried too hard to stand up and pose with this lengzai, haih... But at least I've got this silly shot with him. And he's still looking stunningly, without worrying if he'll look bad in the photo... Someone suggested me to take picture with each of the manikin and my reaction:

NOT really that sarcastic but just... this. I'm not a sarcastic person, maybe I am. I'm not sure though, I've got no assertive anyway. Side topic, dark roots coming out on my head... Not sure if it's time to change my hair colour sooner or later or what but whatever... I'm going to change to brown anyway, after this blonde hair. And slowly going back to super dark black. Looking forward for the day, to renew my style again! Okay enough said.

Moving on to the next situation, Kenny and Nicholas have arrived to the class... They arrived earlier than Jia Hui and Shiau Wei but after coming to class they went off again. Maybe to get their breakfast? So I spotted this interesting thing... The drawn-face manikin! Kenny's wooden manikin lmao. Yen Yong did some tricks on it and it posed like "I'm Sexy and I Know It". Girl, look at that body! Imma do the same thing on my manikin too! Maybe not funny, but adding patterns... I need some colour sprays now! xD However this manikin pose, it's going to be funnay! This, might be a good moments after maybe a few semesters later... Making memories while you can! But don't be overly nostalgic, because there are a lot of people out there keep complaining on Pokémon Black and White, the 5th Generation Pokémon and everything... I am one of the oldest fans out there, loving Pokémon since I was 5 years old and I am definitely thinking that the new Pokémon are completely acceptable. Just get used to it! Oh, too much craps. CONTINUE NOW!

The class started at the right time. And Jeffrey, the assistant lecturer took our attendance... And why am I going details...? Oh well, habit kills. As soon as ZY re-arranged everything, there was an empty space in the middle like it is a stage or something. We were told that there will be two classmates to be picked in among us, and will do the posing. And what's the most exciting part? We take turns to do the posing job... I know some volunteer, some dare not to do it. But we only live once so why not give it a shot? =D The first ones were Matrix and Nicholas. And trust me I've got a much interesting photo than this one I posted here on the right side. I chose this because it's more appropriate for this blog post to look like a blog post xD But if you're interested, you can click >HERE< to see the picture. I was chosen later on, along with Ethan. And I told the lecturer that I'm 75kg, he... got shocked? xD LOL! Is my body size, too light to be 75kg or what? You guys' reaction makes me feel like I'm some overweight dude lmao. Posing with one other, especially with pushing and pulling poses, is not as easy as what you think! I am now officially impressed by the people who can stand still for hours without making a move! Oh my legs... T__T So after referring to so many life drawing from my classmates... The outcome? It's right under here!

Still has a very spacious improvement space. But at least I somehow improved, compare to the last drawings I submitted to the lecturers... I might complain too much for Figure Studies assignment but they are the only assignments I enjoy the most! I can live with drawing figures everyday. Actually, seriously, I wouldn't mind doing art-related assignment. I just hate doing Malaysian Studies and History of Arts stuffs. But on the ironic side, I would really wish and prefer Malaysian Studies mainly focus on examination rather than giving us most marks on presentation... We have to find so many things about the minorities. And some minorities are kinda impossible to dig their sources in the internet... Oh, fawk it.

I've been spending my patiences on my assignment. And usually my grades are just average, but it's too early to give up so... I kinda looked for some motivation quotes to get myself motivated. Yes, I am motivated. Usually I wouldn't get more than B- for my Figure Drawings, not more than B for my Drawings and less than 5 for my Design Fundamental... But hard works do pay off. I've been drawing, drawing and drawing. Listen to the lecturer, read the comment and...

I finally got a B+! It supposedly to be B but... Thank you, whoever marks this. Jeffrey or ZY, I appreciate this a lot! I know it's only 'acceptable' to be B+, but I will work harder to maintain a B+, and try my best to get A-. First, I need more comments on my work, maybe I might ask some people who are skilled in figure drawings... But more importantly, I have to keep doing and doing... Yaya I'm being over dramatic now. But I just want to encourage and motivate myself here. Aite?! Good luck, Wallace! Let's be the Wallace you want to be, and not the Walley you used to be! Another assignments for 5 males and 5 females, this will be the third time for doing the same assignment. But I wouldn't complain now, bring it on babeh! Oh, Pinky has posted the photos back when we were doing a short drama or show for the class activities. So here's something extra, before concluding the blog! I had fun on blogging this, and it took me 2 hours to finish this. Mainly because I was tweeting, Skyping and Facebooking... Okay nuff said, picture time!
