So, we departed from Puchong to Pudu Raya at 5pm or something... And it's basically a sardin-packing in the bus. The journey took about 45 minutes to 1 hour long to reach to the destination... I just know one thing for sure is by the time we reached to Pudu Raya, the sky was already dark and the time when we hop into U70 bus was still day time. I guess it's longer than we thought it was... The time passed quite fast because we had some chat in the public bus... By the time we reached to Pudu Raya, got our tickets and we straight away proceed to our dinner, stuffs like that. We had Marry Brown and then met up with Cece, and then get into the express that will take us to Penang Island... It was a five hour ride and I couldn't sleep in the bus... Insomnia. Nothing much to mention in the bus either, basically just slacking around.
It's dawn by the time we reach to Penang! It was cooling in Penang, the breezes were nice and awesome. And there, the sky starts to "fall"... You know, raining... We got into a taxi and it takes 15 minutes to reach to our hostel, or "inn". The sun was still "sleeping", the picture is just for fun by the way. It was still dawning, and our stomach were grumpling... Oww oww... So we went to a nearby stall to have our "early breakfast". The first meal I had in Penang was something you can find anywhere in Malaysia, Roti Canai... Not much choices because it was only 5am or something... So then we went back to our hostel, Ryokan to rest ourselves. We still couldn't log in so all we did was just surfing the net, sleeping at the lounging place and stuffs like that... Tricky travel mates take random pictures of us while we were sleeping... We were so noisy, and one angmoh beh tahan us open the door and said "We are trying to sleep here" with a sinister smile... I wasn't there to witness this but AY Kenny was like "So? Try your best to sleep" LOL that was one funny reply but TOO BAD he didn't answer this to him. Empty talking, yeah.
Until the day is starting to lighten up, AY Kenny and gang started food hunt... The first day wasn't so pleasant. I would've just stay in the room and sleep all day. I am not the kind of guy who loves hanging around under the sun... I'm starting to think I'm some kind of winter guy! =P The time we got back Ryokan's reception has already open! Yay! Now we can check into our room... And guess what, the room conditioning is really really really good. Sorry I didn't snap any picture of it, you can get more information about this hostel from their official website. Ryokan, it won't be a bad deal to pay me for promoting your hostel here HAHAHAHA just kidding. The service here is really good though, no lie.
We also visited the iconic complex, KOMTAR (Kompleks Tunku Abdul Rahman)... They have shopping malls, bus central station blah blah blah... I made a stupid choice, that I bought this Vanilla Frappucino there... Goshhhhh why am I so stupid... Can't blame me much because I was craving for something cold. The sun was too harsh to us and I felt like a "mermaid" walking on the land... -.- Sorry I'm not so good at word play xD After that then me and Wei Jia had a nap in the room and the rest of them went for capturing the view of sunset... And I was like OMG BO JIO I ALSO WANT TO SEE. Grr, felt like so wasted. So yeah there goes the first day for our Penang trip... Here are some photos, when I am absent... Seem so fun huh? WAIT! That's not all, I have something to tell! xD At night by the time I woke up, everyone else was gone and is mentioned above they went for sunset viewing... Urgh, seriously bo jio. Went away when I was being unconscious... Huhuhu... So for dinner we went out for "wan-tan-mee", something I eat everyday at Ming Tien... Tragedy story. Now I am slowly getting bored of it. We ordered our food, and... Urgh, the rain starts to fall. And we even got attacked by street rats! We hided beside the stall where there is a shelter for us to hide from the rain... Hehe. The rat climbed over Cece's leg and she screamed so hard, ran to my side and she event scratched my arts. OMG WTF LOL! There was a tourist woman and she came over to Cece and screamed, and Cece got shocked for the second times. The third time was me, the rat climbed over me and I screamed so hard and ran to the other side. Oh god why... The tourist woman sure loves to prank people huh...
We waited so long for our dinner and finally we ate and the rain wasn't so heavy by that time. We went back to our hostel, hooray. Home sweet home. Cece and I had our supper there. Just look at it makes me feel hungry... Blame us who had a great appetite for everything. And then... The tourist woman came into Ryokan, and I was like "O__O"! She was the one we meet at the "wan-tan-mee" stall there! And we introduced ourselves, so her name is Seary. She's a very nice person, and she came from Puerto Rico! And she lived in Hawaii for 9 years, she was a teacher and now she's a traveler. She has been travel for 2 years, but of course she went back to her own country sometimes... She told me. So yeah this is how we spent our first night in Penang, and pretty simple... Alright time to sign off. See you in next post! :D
