Old-street, Shanghai

Hihi, old street! Who cares! It's still in Shanghai, everything in Shanghai is special! The last place to visit in Shanghai, sob sob... This place is colder than the other Shanghai places do although it was still crowded in that old street. I figured to buy something here at least since I've got nothing from Shanghai and I needed something to stay with me as some 'momento' or whatever it is. Sorry guys, I can't get souvenirs 'cuz the things in China is expensive than I expected, only have enough to spend for myself. Anyhow... Feel refresh now for seeing the word 'anyhow' instead of 'anyway'? Haha, you got it. This place was once a temple but they converted it into a market place so you can see the people are starting to sell things over there. Most of the shops there weren't governed. The governed shops in China, you cannot ask for discounts or those aunty-aunty style for cutting the price personally, not officially. In Chinese we call it 讨价还价, in Malay we call it 'tawar-menawar', you get me? Since China is a communist country, everyone who works under the government shops will get paid equally for everyone, that's the concept of communist. So since much shops in this street isn't under the control of the government, I got everything with some good discount! ;)

The first stop I went was this 'Semir Fashion Shop' where they sell mostly all jackets and everything. I thought it wouldn't do me any good even if I buy them. I mean, what to do with the jacket once I bought it? It's winter jacket, I can't use it in winter... Oh well, but my mother is like any typical aunties, everything with discount or Buy 1 Free 1 offer she will be the first to grab that whatever thing is selling. Aunty-war...

Check my new winter clothes out! Does it look fat? Did I look fat now? Am I? I guess, winter wear, I mean real winter wear will always get people fatter. But I kinda like this comfortable sweater, it reduce all the 'cold' and I actually feel kind of warm inside, except my hands which were still freezing without any hand-gloves on. So what do you think? What do you think? I can't talk much with this picture so... I was 'window shopping' around in the street and everything was so attracting. Too bad I had cash limits and I couldn't do anything, so sad I know. One thing that I couldn't take my eyes off is... THEY SELL THE FUCKING BEATS HEADPHONE WITH ONLY RM90! Oh my god! Imagine this price in Malaysia, I'm sure everyone has already robbed it off! I don't care whether it's original or Made In China or not, I just want that thing! Humans, always greedy and selfish... Even how kind a person is... I doubt everyone has a perfect personality! Wander and wander and wander... I finally found this panda-hat, I figured this will attract me lots of attention and so I bought that thing off, yes indeed, everyone started to look at the thing I was wearing, and what do you think?

Wheeeee, blame me not, someone says it look cute on my head. And I personally like it myself >.< Bwahaha, I love funny hat, I love weird stuffs. No one actually realized I'm a weirdo for weird stuffs. This thing costed me 人民币25 (RM12.50), it isn't a bad price... But my sister got it cheaper, 人民币20 (RM10), my mom got frustrated whenever she see something cheaper than the one she bought... Oh well, aunties. There were plenty of things that can be bought in that street, namely McDonald, Starbucks etc etc. I mean foods and stuffs. Shanghai is also known for 'Xiao-Long Bao' but the tour guide asked us to not buy those in the street cuz the original ones have already vanished from Shanghai, the real students from the real sifu have gone everywhere in the world and where it was I don't know. Most likely places like Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore and more and more... I mean who will like to eat Chinese bao in non-Asian country? Even some do I don't think the business is going to be great unless with much effort of promoting... Ah, how I wished I could taste the real Xiao-Long Bao in Shanghai, oh never mind. I just can't stop listening to Shanghai Romance.

That's all for this Shanghai trip, I will miss you Shanghai! Time to move to Wuxi...!

JUST A LITTLE CELEBRATION HERE.
